DESCRIPTION:  \n \nSix MWA-NY authors will read from their works on Saturday\, October 19\, at the 58th Street Library in Manhattan\, starting at noon. \nKelly Oliver is president of Sisters in Crime national. She is the author of three award-winning bestselling mystery series and dozens of nonfiction books. \nCatherine Siemann will read from her novel-in-progress\, Death Uptown and Downtown\, which won the 2023 Killer Nashville Claymore Award for best unpublished historical and earned her the 2021 Leon B. Burstein/MWA-New York scholarship for mystery writing. (The scholarship is now an award.) \nAndrea Clark\, who says she once worked “as a slow typist” at The New Yorker\, will read from her irreverent work-in-progress\, Kate’s Dilemma. \nKate Hohl is the winner of the 2024 MWA Robert L. Fish Memorial Award for the best debut short story by an American author. \nRichard Koreto will read from the latest book in his “Historic Homes” series\, about an architect who finds mysteries in the landmark houses she renovates. \nZeke Faux was nominated for a Best Fact Crime Edgar this year for his book Number Go Up: Inside Crypto’s Wild Rise and Staggering Fall. \nThe library is at 127 East 58th Streetand is easily reached by the N\, R\, 4\, 5 and 6 subway lines.
