
MWA members and mystery lovers gathered on October 18 at the Lee Memorial Public Library in Allendale, NJ, for “Red Herrings: The Twist in the Tale,” a panel discussion moderated by MWA Board Member Carol Binkowski.

The panel, comprising Tom Coffey, Peggy Ehrhart, and Charles Salzberg, explored how to employ red herrings to heighten tension and suspense to captivate readers. The discussion also delved into the challenges red herrings pose as a tool to propel the story. The panelists reveled in the lively exchange of ideas, while the audience asked insightful questions. An enjoyable time was had by all.
