Join a panel of authors/members of Mystery Writers of America as they discuss their new releases. They will share their perspectives on the mystery genre, their writing processes, world-building, and keeping the reader engaged. A local bookstore will provide copies of their books for purchase and signing.

Lynne Constantine is an Edgar Award–nominated, New York Times bestselling author of eleven novels and nine short stories who writes under the pen name Liv Constantine. She is the coauthor of the global bestseller The Last Mrs. Parrish, a Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick now in postproduction as a Netflix film directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Jennifer Lopez. Several of her other books have also been adapted for television. Constantine’s novels have sold millions of copies worldwide, have been translated into twenty-nine languages, and are available in thirty-four countries. She also writes the Jack Logan conspiracy series under the pen name L. C. Shaw and is currently developing projects for film and television as a screenwriter. Constantine holds a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University
Karen E. Olson is the award-winning and Shamus-nominated author of fourteen crime novels. Her latest book, A Defiant Woman, is the second in her Modern Tudor Mysteries, modern reimaginings of Henry VIII and his wives. She and her husband live in North Haven with their cat Seamus.
Tessa Wegert is the critically acclaimed author of the Shana Merchant mysteries as well as the North Country series, beginning with In the Bones. Her books have received numerous starred reviews and have been featured on PBS and NPR Radio. A former journalist and copywriter, Tessa grew up in Quebec and now lives in Connecticut, where she cofounded Sisters in Crime Connecticut and serves on the board of International Thriller Writers (ITW).
Elise Hart Kipness (Moderator) is a USA Today bestselling author and former national TV reporter. Her acclaimed Kate Green thriller series was optioned by Universal Television and Mary J. Blige’s Blue Butterfly Productions. Elise’s work has earned worldwide recognition as a Men’s Journal top-ten pick for best book, a Woman’s Day must-read selection, and a Scripps News beach read pick, and has been featured by CBS Mornings Plus, People magazine, CBS New York’s Club Calvi, and Newsday. In her past life, Elise covered major news stories for New York’s WNBC-TV, News 12 Long Island, and the Associated Press and reported on marquee sports events for Fox Sports. A graduate of Brown University, she teaches at Westport Writers’ Workshop while also serving as a board member of Friends of the Key West Library. She is a cofounder of the Connecticut chapter of Sisters in Crime, and a member of MWA. She and her husband split their time among Florida, Connecticut, and New York.
