Of interest: Canal Town Book Fest seeks authors for virtual version

Greetings Authors,

We hope this email finds you all healthy and well as we all continue to navigate through this pandemic. Our lives have been changed in many ways and this is also true when it comes to public events like book fests.

The Canal Town Book Fest committee has been meeting virtually to discuss possible upcoming events in 2021. We wish to make the safest decisions we can and for this reason we have an idea to put forth.

We are interested in possibly having a virtual book fest event completely free for authors. We are considering holding this event on May 22. We would, of course, guide each of you who wish to participate through every step of the way to make it as easy and seamless as possible.

I am not the most tech savvy but I have participated in a few virtual events. The steps to participate in them were very simply laid out and we would like to do the same for any author who wishes to attend our virtual event.

We are still working out the details however it would mainly require each author to create a post on May 22, describing your books, providing links and offering some type of game or giveaway such as a raffle for an Amazon card or for a signed copy of one of your publications.

At this time, we would like to hear from each of you. Please respond to the email below if you think you would be interested in taking part in our free virtual event. We welcome your thoughts.
