Amid summer’s steamy prelude, MWA-NY’s Spring Fling party on June 11 at the Tailor Public House in Manhattan was a smashing success. MWA-NY President Daniella Bernett was delighted to welcome New York Times bestselling author Susan Elia MacNeal as the special guest. She spoke to members about MWA’s impact on the writing community and her career, and the enduring friendships formed. Members also were treated to a surprise by Noel MacNeal, who brought along Edgar the Raven to entertain the group. Noel is a renowned puppeteer, actor, and Emmy Award-winning director for his work on Sesame Street. Members relaxed and socialized, and made new friends. A lively time was had by all.
